Charles Miiller served as an Assistant Chief of Police for 28-years in a major city and a private campus university. His public service began with the Phoenix Police Department. As a young police officer, he patrolled the streets of Phoenix, Arizona investigating a litany of crimes, from the mundane to the bizarre. He promoted through the ranks eventually overseeing the Special Operations & Applied Sciences Division until retiring in 2015. Lured back into law enforcement in 2017, he served as the Assistant Director/Assistant Police Chief at Grand Canyon University’s Public Safety Department until Spring 2021. Currently, he is employed by the Arizona Peace Officer Standards and Training Board (AZPOST) where he is recognized as a law enforcement leadership instructor and mentor serving the 157 agencies in the state. Prior to his career in public service, he proudly enlisted in the United States Marine Corps Reserve, promoted to Sergeant and served overseas during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm.
